Final Review Date Posted Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 3:17 PM Does anyone know if they have set the final review date in March for those who tested in September |

RE: Final Review Date Posted Friday, December 4, 2009 at 1:01 PM Well I just heard from another buddy who ranked around 29th and he got a letter 3 weeks ago saying he failed the poly and had character issues.Hat to hear that.He is a cop already and seemed to be a good guy .Just seemes like people are dropping like flies.I guess if its meant to be then it will happen |

RE: Final Review Date Posted Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 6:40 AM Yeh your right.For us to be in the top 30 out of 2000 that tested says a lot.I mean your talkimg about 1 percent.They definitely know how to narrow it down.I like the fact that it seems to be a lot of out of towners in the top 30.Since I don't know anyone in vegas it will give everyone a chance to bond in the academy and learn the area.I'm moving 2200 miles by myself so its cool to know you have at least 3o people your gonna see each day and become friends with.debating whether I will get a one room apartment or try to find some guys in the academy to split a bigger place. |

RE: Final Review Date Posted Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 8:36 AM Yeah I am moving from AZ. SO not too far only about a 3 1/2 hour drive or so depending on traffic at the DAM. Yeah I am thinking of getting a 2 bedroom apt so that way I have an extra bedroom and extra room for all my crap. I have looked at a lot of nice apts like 5 minutes away from the academy. I am going out to Vegas for a long weekend in February so I am going to go check them out in person and see how they look. |

RE: Final Review Date Posted Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at 9:04 AM Well I just got the unfortunate update.January review board and academy have been cancelled with no new dates.And all academies are on hold.Sgt with the academy expects there to be 3 academies now in 2010 instead of every other month.The city is expecting the Officers who risked their lives each day to take up to a 10 percent pay cut due to the downturn in the economy.I hope they realize and appreciate how much freedom and safety is protected by the men and women of Metro before they affect these officers and their families in such a way. |
